“Don't throw away your used pens!” Monami's eco-friendly project “Green Bag Campaign”

- Retrieved 9 types of Monami pens, providing mileage for a minimum of 10 pens

Stationery manufacturer Monami announced on the 27th its “Green Bag Campaign,” which produces upcycled products using discarded materials as part of its eco-friendly activities.

If the consumer collects plastic pens that are hard to recycle due to their small size, they are separated according to material to produce a brand new product. Consumers can receive mileage rewards that can be used at Monami Mall according to how much they collect.

Members ordering from Monami's official online shopping mall Monami Mall can participate in the campaign. If you check whether to include the green bag during checkout, you can receive a green bag with your order.

Items for collection include 9 products such as Monami 153, Namepen, Permanent Marker, Board Marker, Pluspen 3000, Brush Pen, Live Color, Accent Twin, and Adding Super 600, and you can send the pens in an envelope with payment on delivery. You have to send a minimum of 10 pens and write your Monami Mall username and the last 4 digits of your phone number in front of the Green Bag to receive mileage.

Afterward, Monami will cooperate with eco-friendly social company Touch4Good to produce various upcycled goods using the collected pens and create special importance to consumers' eco-friendly activities. The produced goods will be given away through a Green Bag lottery event to be held on Instagram.

Pen collection and mileage payments will be done until Sep. 25, and production of upcycled goods will continue until December. More details can be found on the Monami Mall website.

We will communicate with consumers through the Green Bag campaign and actively lead in fulfilling our social responsibility with regard to environmental problems,” an official from Monami said.
